Anywayz, I had to put Pho Hoa on the waiting list since it’s quite far away from my place. But for Ayam Penyet AP, oh, it’s just walking distance from my house! So today I actually skipped gym for that! I just can’t wait!

I went with Ducum for dinner. We ordered the Ayam Penyet, Lele (haha, such a cute name lar)Penyet (ikan keli, cat fish) and terong (eggplant) Penyet, plus a bowl of Bakso, since the Penyet dishes doesn’t have any gravy, we couldn’t eat rice without any soup or gravy!
The Ayam Penyet and Lele Penyet was really good! Both very fresh and yummy! The sambal that came with them was burning spicy but nice! 🙂 Oh, did I tell you guys I love ikan keli? It’s not the kinda fish Chinese would eat but I think it is absolutely yummy!

But my personal favourite would be the eggplant! I don’t know why it’s just so tasty that even Ducum, someone who doesn’t like eggplant actually had it and like it! Believe me, it’s just THAT GOOD!

The Bakso was not to say very fantastic, but not-bad lor. I think it’s probably the best Bakso I’ve ever had in KL so far! Ducum and I just can’t stop drinking the soup which was a bit sour with the lime we added in! The sambal was also very spicy but syok eating it!

Like what KY said, the price was absolutely reasonable. Ducum had two cups of bubble tea (ha, too spicy mah…) at the price of only RM3.50 per cup! Not bad right? The only down side, at least to me, is the fact that the penyet dishes are deep fried, and that means… Super duper fattening!!! Aiks, no skipping gym anymore tomorrow!!!

Shirlexia and Ducum were really happy with the Penyetx3, Baksox1, ricex1,bubble teax2, teax1!
But well, WE WILL BE BACK FOR MORE!!! :p

Ranggup, sedap dan memang enak di makan begitu saja jer tau….

Udang Penyet jer aku tak merasa…..waaaaa.geram aku…

memula ada atas meja..pas tu tetiba ilang…

huhuhuhu….nampaknya kene datang lagi sekali nie …nak merasa udang penyet dia…hehehehe (alasan nak datang lagi tu….)

tapi yang kat Shah Alam ni..ok aku rasa..tak tahu la kalu cawangan lain yek…

Memang BEST…dan kami pasti datang lagi….

The set up of Ayam Penyet AP is just a notch above your normal kopitiam. There are a few tables alfresco style for those who might want to have puff after meal, and also plenty of tables for those who prefer air conditioning. The restaurant is clean and comfortable tho there isn’t any effort being put in interior decoration.

The menu here is a bit more extensive compared to Waroeng Penyet, other than the standard Ayam penyet, they have beef, cat fish, prawn, bakso (beef ball), mixed vegetable, and a few types soups too.

We ordered ayam penyet, lele penyet (keli, cat fish), and terong penyet (eggplant) to go with two rice for dinner.

The ayam penyet (I had the drumstick) was just as tasty as their counterpart at the Curve. Crispy, flavorful, and with that very addictive hot sambal. I also like the fact that they give more crispy bits.

The deep fried cat fish too was not bad in its own, very aromatic and soft in texture. And as a person who loves eggplant, I absolutely adore the terung penyet. The crispy bits and sambal works very well with the contrasting soft texture of fried eggplant. Very delicious.

Ayam penyet was priced at RM 7 (already the most expensive item in their menu!), the fish was RM 6.50, and eggplant only RM 2.50. Two plates of rice at RM 1.20 each and you have a very satisfying dinner for way less than RM 20.00!

I am sure this is one of the places I would visit repeatedly.
